West Series overview
 
The West Series is an eight-book family saga.

Book one, Destiny. We travel with Dan West and Ellie Clifford to British Colombia, Outback South Australia, Newmarket, and Colorado. In their pursuit of happiness, Ellie must overcome her reservations about Dan while Dan has to convince his family that he isn’t too old to fall in love.

Book two, Providence, is set in Paris. Joe West follows Isabella Rogers to Paris. She accepts a journalist position while Joe stays with an old family friend. Together they seek justice for the French homeless while unearthing a cartel boss and murderer.

Book three, Redemption, is set in Newmarket. Faith Clifford is a champion jockey. When her racehorse is stolen, she is devastated. Oliver West butts head with Faith’s boyfriend, an aristocrat. Oliver sets out to prove him of horse theft and doping.

Book four, Survival, is set in Queensland and Hong Kong. Charlotte Clifford wants to finish her degree at a wildlife park in Queensland. Jamie West suspects the wealthy Asian benefactor of the park is trafficking animals to Hong Kong. When Charlotte is kidnapped, Jamie works with the Hong Kong customs to apprehend the benefactor.

 Book five, Resurrection, is set in Scotland. Alana West is the star of a movie filming in Scotland. When she meets and falls for Fergus Frazer, she starts to wonder if the rumour of him murdering his wife is correct. When a series of bizarre events occur, and she ends up in the hands of a madman, she now knows the rumour is true.

Book six, Deliverance, is set in Colorado. Caroline West is happy with Hank Johnson and would probably have married him if bad boy Ethan Rogers hadn’t come back into her life. He is doing his Master to become a priest, but Caroline suspects he’d trafficking drugs again. She has many obstacles to overcome to save him from himself.

Book seven, Tempest, is set in Coober Pedy. Heath West and Rachel West are on their honeymoon. They journey to the outback town of Coober Pedy and are involved in a car accident. Heath loses his memory and Rachel her sight. Heath is taken in by an old enemy of Dan’s who works him mercilessly in his mine. The family are in mourning, believing Heath is dead. Rachel, however, refuses to believe and sets out to prove them all wrong.

To be published 2026 - Book eight, Reckoning, is set in Colorado. Hank Jonson never thought he’d ever love again, and then Kenna Murray MacCleary West enters his life. She fronts up at the West ranch announcing she is the illegitimate daughter of Dan. There is no doubting she’s a West. Hank is tasked with the job of finding out if she is genuine. When a series of situations bring the family to its knees, Hank starts to wonder where her allegiance lies. Kenna must prove her worth if she is to win Hank’s heart.

Destiny - Book 1

September 2018 at a bear lodge in British Columbia (Canada), Dan West meets Ellie Clifford. Their travels take them to Coober Pedy (Australia), Newmarket (England) and Colorado (USA).
 
At 49, Dan West has laid to rest three wives and raised six children. He made his fortune in the South Australian opal fields of Coober Pedy, repurchased the Colorado family home from the bank, breeds prime beef cattle and thoroughbred racehorses. He should be happy, but after twenty-two years without a partner, he would love nothing more than to find someone to share it all with. When he heads to a bear lodge in British Columbia, he meets the beautiful Ellie and knows instantly that she’s wife number four.

For nineteen years, Ellie has forged a career as a doctor and travelled with Médecins Sans Frontières and passed on her knowledge through the classroom. Her two daughters, and mum and dad, have been the foundation of her structured and safe life. The last thing she needs is a man like Dan West to tear that world apart. But Dan has other ideas and is determined to overcome her objections.

Providence - Book 2

After the year from hell, Joe West isn’t surprised that his girlfriend Isabella Rogers leaves for greener pastures. The only problem is she left without him. Hot on her trail, he follows her to Paris. She hasn’t been idle since her arrival. She’s found work as a journalist and rents a bedsit overlooking the River Seine. Now all he has to do is convince her to return home to Colorado and marry him.
 
Isabella isn’t going anywhere. She’s working undercover with a group of homeless people who live beneath the Paris streets. They have links to a drug lord connected to a series of murders, and it’s only a matter of time before she unmasks the perpetrator.
 
Joe won’t leave without Isabella, so he accepts an invitation from an old friend of his father’s for accommodation and a job. The friend, however, has a hidden agenda, and Joe suddenly finds himself with more on his plate than getting Isabella home.
 
Connections between Joe’s father’s past, Isabella’s assignment and Joe’s new job may prove fatal.

​Redemption - Book 3

Faith Clifford’s dream of winning the Triple Crown on her racehorse, Rags to Riches, crashes around her when she is attacked on the famous Newmarket Heath and her horse stolen.
 
Oliver West travels to Newmarket to settle in two of their racehorses at Faith’s grandmother’s racing complex. Oliver and Faith met at their parent’s wedding in the South Australian Outback town of Coober Pedy. Oliver hasn’t gotten Faith off his mind and wants to continue where they left off, but Faith’s friend Jack isn’t about to let that happen.
 
Faith doesn’t understand Jack’s sudden need to date her. He’s never shown an interest in her romantically, and she believes his sudden interest is due to his father pushing him to marry and produce an heir. She’s falling for Oliver and must tell Jack they can only ever be friends.
 
Jack shatters Faith’s dream with evidence that Oliver and his family aren’t what they seem. She agrees to wear Jack’s ring to give her space and time to re-evaluate. Jack’s plan is in motion.
 
The race is now on for Oliver to prove that Jack isn’t who Faith believes him to be and to attain justice for those people in Newmarket affected by Jack’s desire for dominance.

Survival - Book 4

Charlotte Clifford is working toward her Animal Science Degree. She accepts a twelve-month placement at the world-renowned Endangered Wildlife Park in Far North Queensland, Australia.

Her boyfriend, Jamie West, isn’t invited. In Denver, he receives a visit from a Hong Kong Customs Official who believes that the Endangered Wildlife Park is trafficking endangered birds and marsupials to Asia. He fears for Charlotte’s safety and heads Down Under.

Charlotte is a trusted team member, and the park’s number one benefactor has arrived to take a shipment of animals back to HK. Jamie believes he’s taking illegals and tries to warn Charlotte. A misunderstanding finds Charlotte on a yacht at sea and Jamie in a Cairns hospital.

Charlotte sets out to save the animals while Jamie tries to save Charlotte. But time is running out not only for the animals heading to private collectors, wet markets and restaurants but for their relationship.

Resurrection - Book 5​

 Alana West is in Scotland, starring in a movie about the Jacobite Uprising. Filming is almost complete when a world pandemic sees the film crew in lockdown at a farmhouse in the small town of Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness.

Fergus Frazer hosts cast members and is shocked when he meets Alana. She is his wife’s doppelganger. Elspeth died six years ago, and the perpetrator is still at large. When the police pull another female body from Loch Ness and learn how she met her fate, Fergus becomes their number one suspect.

Initially, at odds, Fergus and Alana give in to the chemistry that draws them together. However, forces are working behind the scenes to keep them apart, and when Fergus ends up in custody, Alana must unravel past and present events to clear his name.

Deliverance - Book 6

After completing community service for a drug trafficking offence, Ethan Rogers disappears. He’s running from his controlling parents and a crime syndicate, but a pandemic and lockdown send him back to where it all started: his hometown of Westville.

Caroline hasn’t seen Ethan for over a year. She knows better than anyone that years of abuse and making wrong choices have left him damaged. However, Caroline doesn’t let that or the fact that Wests and Rogers are sworn enemies deter her from offering help.

There is no better time than a pandemic to fill a gap in the marketplace. English knows this and sets about cooking a new drug called Frenzy. After disposing of thieves in his ranks, he sets out to bring down those working with them. He learns that Ethan is back in town, and who better to bring back into the fold than someone who owes him?

Ethan is working with the police to close English down, but when he threatens Caroline’s life, Ethan understands there will be no future for them if English lives. Caroline sets out to stop Ethan from making a choice he’ll regret.

Tempest - Book 7

Heath West has married his long-term girlfriend, Rachel Evans, and is the happiest man alive. Their honeymoon takes them to Australia with a side trip to Coober Pedy in the South Australian Outback. A drive to a local lookout turns into a nightmare when they crash the car.

Heath is unconscious, and Rachel suffers a blow to the head. Unable to see, she wanders away from the car to seek help. The vehicle is ablaze when the authorities arrive, and they suspect Heath died in the inferno. The Royal Flying Doctor Service transport Rachel to an Adelaide hospital.

An old acquaintance, Wilbur King, discovers Heath in the wreck and removes him from the vehicle. Wilbur takes Heath back to his opal mine and dugout. He can’t believe his luck. He finally has something Dan West would give his life for—his eldest son.
Rachel returns to Coober Pedy with her in-laws and parents. She can’t believe Heath is dead. With no remains found in the car, the police suspect Heath may have wandered away from the wreck and fallen down an abandoned mine shaft, of which there are thousands located near the crash site.

Rachel refuses to leave Coober Pedy. To help her gain independence, the family hire a teacher to guide her through her black world. The teacher is French. He has a hidden agenda and is searching for a French criminal who was once a friend of Dan West. The position working for Dan legitimises his presence and gives him unhindered access to Dan and his family.

Heath is suffering from amnesia and living and working amongst the enemy. At the same time, Rachel is blind and refuses to give up hope that Heath is alive. Their journey reaches a dramatic conclusion in the place that changed Dan West’s life. Against all odds, Rachel and Heath must find their way back to each other to save their loved ones from an early grave.
